Writing.Com is probably the best website ever. Forget Myspace or Facebook. Writing.Com is the best. I am an aspiring author, that searched long and hard for some good inspiration and reviews. I found it in Writing.Com. More young writers like myself should come here to help achieve their goals and dreams. If you like to write, get a membership on this website.
One day I went through some of my old notebooks and I found poems I wrote and I became inspired to write more. So started entering contest on the web and I got to writing. I searched the web for sites that had to do with poetry or writing and I found Writing.Com. It's great the passion that lies deep in my spirit is coming alive and I can't help to share in the passion of writing. Writing.Com is great!!
I have met so many wonderful people. This wonderful place has given me an opportunity to not just showcase my writing, but to communicate with the people who've actually taken the time to read. I am able to send my comments on other writers' work and thus have become acqainted with a few Gems. I want to TELL THE WORLD about this WRITING.COM. I might have stumbled onto this site, but I'm not letting go... I'm not leaving this haven. It's way too special!
Well, when wanting to describe something you like, you're supposed to say good things about it. I'm afraid that's not going to be possible for me to do here. See, there's not enough room or time to put everything about Writing.Com that's really cool. I'm a high school sophmore, and last year in English class, I barely scraped an A. This year, I have a 99, and the site has also helped me get a 97 in AP World, since I've used what I learned here to write my essays. The only bad thing about the place is that I have to shut my computer down after a while. Too bad.
Writing.Com has increased my interest in writing and improved my skills! I have found the joy in writing again. Also, I have a whole community to share my work with who are as excited about writing as I am.
This site and it's people are sooooooooo friendly, this alone not including it's vast resources, endless activities, and infinite creative potential, makes it the best site I've EVER joined.
My writing had been put on hold for years. After retirement I dusted off all my notes, happened to find this wonderful community by accident on August 10, 06. In a short time, someone was kind enough to give me an upgrade. I was thrilled. My writing took off, entered some contests. I received some invites to join groups. Jumped in with both feet. From the first day I signed up I began learning and making friends. Recently, my wife purchased a Premium Membership for me as a gift. I am hooked, thanks to so many here at Writing.Com.
Writing.Com has filled an emptiness within me and has helped me continue writing after a long dry spell. The feedback I've received has improved my writing and the encouragement drives me to continue. I have also had the honor of meeting some very special and talented people. I am eternally grateful. Thank you so very much.
I've been at WDC only a couple months now, but I am absolutely addicted! I get the greatest feeling seeing new messeges in my inbox. I love revewing items and adding new ones in my port. Anyone with a love of writing or reading should definately check out Writing.Com!
Sweet!! I can honestly say I'm addicted to Writing.Com. It's just like my so needed coffee; log in and review, and talk with its kind members in just like the haven coffee gives me. I loved writing as a teen and won school awards, but things changed as I matured and it brings me great pride and happiness to be writing again and slowly but surely my old habits are growing stronger than ever. The people here are among the kindest I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and I look forward to my improvement and years to come belonging to the "to die for" writing site. Way to go StoryMistress and her man StoryMaster, your both creatively awesome.
Thanks to Writing.Com, I have a home where I can be myself, where stories are noticed and read or it's entertainment value not for a grade. Also my skills have increased giving me good grades in the writing portions of school, which until now, used to be my worst subject. Thanks, WDC!
Because of my "daytime job" in the PR business, it took me a while after signing up to delve into Writing.Com. Once I started posting the chapters to my novel in progress, and started receiving great reviews, which are helpful, I was hooked. So hooked, in fact, that I urged my physical novel-writing critique group to join this online site for writers. And guess what? All of them are now enjoying WDC and have thanked me for introducing the site to them. What they like most about Writing.Com is the convenience of storing their works in their personal author's portfolio. This means that in case of fire (God forbid), WDC will have a back up file of their work. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, Writing.Com!
I am not sure how I actually came to this site, but I am glad I did. I have only been here about a week but have submitted 4 poems and have gotten some great reviews for which I am quite thankful. I have also received some great ideas on improving certain pieces I have submitted and always welcome comments both good and bad. Thanks Writing.Com for a great site. I was also pleased to find that I had recieved a gift of Upgraded Membership which expires December 2006. This was such a wonderful and pleasant surprise and hopefully I may be able to join as a paid member in the future.
When I first found this site over a year ago, I got started right away. I was amazed at how simple it was to post things up, and I immeadiatly started getting great reivews. And its not just reviews, either- there are contests, interactives, polls, and so much more. You can do all this FOR FREE, too! There are some really great writers here too, if you're ever looking for a good read. Writing.com inspired me to start writing again, and to purse getting published. Now I finally am, and I have this site to thank for giving me the oppurtunity to get my work reviewed before I sent it off, as well as providing helpful prompts in contests, and a great community who supports me and understands my need to write more then any of my non-writing friends can. So, to end my testimonial, I only have three words to say: I LOVE WRITING.COM!
I must admit, Writing.Com allows incredibly talented individuals a chance to display some fantastic pieces of work! I am a newbie to the site and I have contributed. What I've learned is that all it takes is a dedicated forum and an untamed imagination and you too can begin to create your own works of art. Thank You to all the authors who have been kind in their reviews. I am thoroughly impressed with the talent pool that Writing.Com boasts. Keep up the great work and keep the pen to paper.
Thank you Writing.Com. I am the new kid on the block. But I have alot to say. Y'all are wonderful. I submitted a short story called, HOME AT LAST, my first. And low and behold, I have had some wonderful reviews. I just can't believe that I have not found y'all sooner. I am a Trucker's wife, and spend a lot of time with just my pooches, Max and Shiloh. I truly believe that they understand all that I talk to them about. I get very lonely, as we have just moved to the area less than a year ago. It is hard to get out and meet new people. Well, that is where y'all come into my loneliness. I am not so lonely any more. I found a whole lot of new friends. Max and Shiloh say thanks to you also. They don't have to listen to me now. This is the neatest thing I have ever run across, I am throughly enjoying my time on here. Thank you again, and God bless everyone here.
A few months ago I joined Writing.Com and began toying around with interactives. Now I'm an upgraded member. I've joined a great writing group called the Pathfinders. I'm working on writing a novel. I love it here! Its the first site I check when I wake up, and its the last one I check before I go to bed.
Writing.Com is the site of the century. It provides writers with an excellent outlet for their work. There are fellow authors of all genres who will review and rate your pieces using kind comments and suggestions that not only encourage but also help you to improve what you have written. It is easy to navigate the site, making your time on Writing.Com a pleasure, not a frustrating hassle. I'm glad I was introduced to it by my son.
I've been a member for a small time at Writing.Com and have already found my online home. Here, I can show my work to the world and not have to worry at all about put-downs or degrading criticism. Everyone is really nice and no matter how bad you think you wrote something, they see the good in it. I am really happy to be a part this writing community. Even better, you don't have to be a writer to enjoy Writing.Com. You can also review and help others with their work or read on how to do things and advice on others. But how do you say perfect when it improves everyday?!
I came to Writing.Com on July 3, and already I've been anonymously given an Upgraded Membership. But that was just the beginning. The warm encouragement and kindness I've been given here is unlike any other writing site I've been to. Here they don't allow 'flames', unlike other sites. (Flames are reviews where people diss your work) Everyone here is so nice and friendly, and I can't thank you guys enough. I hope one day I can repay you all somehow.
What a find, I am so thrilled to be here. I guess why writers lock themselves in a flat over an old pub is, we really don't want to talk, we want to write. It is good to feel part of a community. Writing.Com is challenging me to be a better writer. Oh yeah, the other reason is the drinks are just downstairs. :)
I've been on Writing.Com for about two months now and never thought I would have written as much as I did. Writing.Com helped insipire me to write more and also to be a better writer. This online community is the best one I've ever been involved in. The people here are very supportive and encouraging to fellow members. I've tried out a few other writing sites since joining Writing.Com, but none could even compare to the quality this website offer.
I have only been a member on Writing.Com for about a week, but I love it more than any other writing website I've ever come across. There are lots of unique features, and many readers to review my work. I get plenty of positive feedback and help on how to improve my writing. Thank you Writing.Com for a wonderful website!
July 30, 2006 will be my 6 month anniversary with Writing.Com. I am proud to say that I am making new friends every day. I try to review as many "new" names as I can find during my time on site each day. I can not say I have actually run across any really "bad" reviewers. Everyone here is polite, curtious, and gives an honest review. I intend on being dead before I will leave this site many years from now. If you want to be able to "keep the faith, here is where you can do that. There is no site on the internet that can beat Writing.Com, I don't care what category you put it in.
It wasn't until I joined Writing.Com that I really started to take my writing seriously. I joined on a whim to see if I could get any feedback on the bits and pieces I'd started, and the website really blew me away. It's not just about the mechanics either. I mean, there are a ton of options, and as a Supscribed Member, I can honestly say that even the prices to upgrade beyond the basic free accounts are really reasonable. But what really makes Writing.Com for me is the community basis of it all. It can be a really daunting experience joining a website community and trying to fit into it, and especially exposing your most vulnerable self by putting your work, pieces of your innermost self, right out there. But right from the beginning I found it easy to find my niche in the community. The people here are among the top friendliest online, and really seem to care about the rest of the Writing.Com 'family'. All in all, this place has an atmosphere like no other, which is a necessity for any website, regardless of how many snazzy options they have for their members. I have found all of the reviews and constructive criticism here invaluable, and it's been the positive feedback that's made me realize that I do have talent. Three years down the line, it's my ambition to be a published writer of fiction, and the folks at Writing.Com will be the first to read my work as it's churned out. I honestly couldn't do it without these people.
